Alternating Week For The Loner & The Socialist

Well, this sucks. It's currently, 5:37AM into Saturday and I have been up all night. On Thursday night I tried to pull an all-nighter with Jacob, but grew tired around 4AM. We should have given it a day's notice. Hrmm..I'm getting confused with time references now. YESTERDAY, nothing really happened. I've been very lazy this past week, realizing that I phases in and out of being the loner and the socialist. The majority of this week has been portrayed by the loner. Last week was the other. Today I took any opportunity to go out, so I went with my sister and her boyfriend to the DMV. She had to renew her license and I was so fascinated and excited to get my own permit soon. Then, we went to the mall, here I bought a few items and got my hair trimmed. On the way home we went to Sonic and AC Moore. I've spent this whole night working on Ana's piano bracelet [the first of a long list of requests] and chatting with a few friends. It was really an interesting night. A drunk Seamus IMed me on Facebook Chat, asking for dirty pics and other nonsense. It was so hilarious in the dead of the night around 4AM. We Forgot To Leave David In Ohio. We Have To Go Back!

Boy oh boy. It sucks to say that Band Trip is now over and that I am sitting here at home, but it is nonetheless true. We left the Kalahari Resort around 11AM and it was a very sad thing. My room was so tired that we didn't even bother waking up in time for breakfast. Mann am I goin gto miss those morning pastries! Before leaving, we also got our picture with a Kalahari Mascot who was in the main lobby. I don't know, but that elephant hugged pretty tightly! :0 Then, we were off onto our 8 hour drive back home. There is always that feeling of attachment and the want to stay longer. We all felt that today, most definitely. I am and am not looking forward to school tomorrow, but what has to be done must be done. Therefore, I shall be waking up in a few hours -_-' Photo's is of that with the elephant mascot ! :D

Day 1: Jaelynn Is Awesome

This morning I left my house to embark onto band trip 2010 :D We had a 8 hour drive to Ohio ahead of us, but thinking back on it, the drive wasn't that bad! Being bus-partner's with Rey is fun :3 This whole day was a day of travel, aside from our rest stops and a stop at Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. It was actually good there, but right now the thought of food makes me ant to throw up. I definitely have gotten carried away with food and stuffing my face because I was bored. The resort we're staying at is ABSOLUTELY amazing and is more than just 'nice'. Now I sit on the bed next to a tired, sleeping Ana, Jaelynn, Emily, and the three sleepers. Day one has only ended and we have so many pictures already! Its amazing! Tomorrow calls for an actually, I think we're performing. Goodness, I feel so tired ! Photo is of burger from the Cafe. It would've been good if I didn't eat anything else before that.

So I really can't believe that I got through today's rehearsal. 9AM-5PM is a pretty long time period! It's such a good feeling to know that your whole band is in a good spot for Nationals tomorrow. :D I want to dominate, and simply do the best we can give to an entire stadium. I think something that pulled me through today was the lovely hour 45 minutes from 12PM-12:45PM of being with you for lunch. Going to 7-11 for lunch is something I have never done, so you're my first. LOL. This is great haha. You're slurpee still looked like poop, btw. The taquito on the other hand, not so bad.. my domo cup was pretty amazing, if I may add :D

Hrmm today was a pretty long day.. it was a good one, too, though! Unfortunately I had to wake up at like 8:30 because report time to the high school was 10AM. We practiced from 10 - 1:30PM and I'm really proud to say that I somewhat enjoyed it.. I think I had a little sarcasm in me that pulled me through- in the way that I was hyper and didn't care enough to brood. When we earned ourselves two laps for not listening to directions, I gladly ran them laps! I endured pretty well, if I may add! After surviving practice, we actually had enough free time to get ready and eat. During warm-up, the guard wasn' having the greatest time because we had just learned the opening and closer dances that morning! Tosses weren't being caught correctly and some of us were having issues with our dresses. The custume is very lengthy and it gets in the way a lot :( However, our show was veryy good! I will specifically say that it was very good confidence- wise. Personally, I was strong about about 98% of the show! Whether I messed up or not, I kept on pushing! I like where we are right now, because some of the girls are finally understanding how to perform! woot! go team haha We ended up getting 3rd out of 3, but at the same time, we would have executed competition, had there been any. The two bands before us who won were Morris Knolls and Morris Hills, who are both open bands. So technically, WE WON. haha

9-5 Freak My Life

From what I remember..this day was god awfully long. The previous days of band camp, we've been having only 9AM-3PM practice and then 6PM-8PM practice later that night. In general, the hours all added up the same, but the 3 hours break inbetween made all the difference! It's such a pain in the but to stand on that dreaded, hot field right after lunch from around 1PM-5PM doing drill over and over again! As simple of a task it is, things just get to you when you're standing in the heat for so long. You start to notice the small things in life; like the guy with only one arm and a prosthetic leg who parks his car out in front to go for a little walk; like the same damned trucks that always pass by around the same time; like the motorcyclists who look silly in their hard shell helmets. The best part of all is praying for wind and rain to come. Shade is another great factor. Everyones eyes wander to the sky to look for any overpassing huge clouds, hoping for an answer to their whining.

Also, none of our instuctors like to come and teach any more.. so from what I remember, that whole week PJ's friend came to help teach basics with us. As cool as he was, I didn't like the fact that he made us do so many reps and hold at certain counts that were a pain in the ass. Oh, he also made us do 20 pushups. Hard, right? No? I should probably mention that all 16 of us had to do them together. Out of my own physical ability, I can do 20 pushups. But to make me wait for everyone else who is struggling and having to do it all over because we cant get through 5 together was hell.
