Tears, Target & A Phone Call

I told myself I would try to start summer reading and AP Chem work today. Yeah, pretty funny joke there. The most of my efforts went to trying to get a ride to the mall to get a phone case, and still I am empty handed. Last night didn't go well, as far as continuing that three day streak of pure happiness. I screwed up a nice, awaited phone call, being tired and out of it completely. I called him back this morning and it completely made up for last night. Our tired, groggy selves started talking and for almost an hour did I feel happiness. The happiness I should have felt last night. I went to Target tonight, hoping to get a phone cover. What I did get though, was a crying sister, whom was arguing with her boyfriend. She wanted to go to the beach with him tomorrow morning, but his backup car has bad tires. She tried to negotiate with him, propositioning to go half on the two tires at $45 a piece. He really didn't want to spend the money on a car he rarely uses. I tried to cheer her up, cracking jokes here and there, and for the most part it worked. Tomorrow is a big day, and I'm excited :) It's the 30th! Photo is of the childhood dream.

Captain? I Am & Swimming? I'm Up For It

Today felt like our first legitimate practice. I haven't done anything lately, so I found myself breathing heavily and a little out of shape. A new girl came today, and teaching her with the other four of us went the closest it could be to "smoothly". I feel like I'm adapting more into this role as captain because giving commands or leading flag basics doesn't make me too nervous anymore. It still does, but at a much more comfortable level. Although I miss a few people who are gone and a new girl quit today, I'm still moving forward. In my role, I aspire to be the best leader I can be and give these girls the greatest experiences as a guard member. I want them to feel what I've felt in my years experiences. Sure, there are times when I hate it, but I know without it, I'm slightly lost. The new girl has a boyfriend in the band and I wished for myself, "Dang I wish my boyprend was here, too!"

Later, after practice, I thought he wasn't coming by. While I was in the chorus room, I turned around and there he was standing in the middle room! Anything else on my mind such as guard, practices, or friends completely left my conscience. My mind dropped into a state where my one and only goal was to get over there and hug him so tightly. It was the same feeling as from last night and I loved it. We ended up going swimming at Deejay's house with Ana and Emily which was fun, to say the least. I like this idea of hanging out altogether. I mean, based on my views of today, it worked out. Maybe this is possible. Photo is of a flag design we might need, considering how our instructor had to quit. We're on our own.

I Slept With My Sister Again - Does That Sound Dirty?

I woke up to the aching of my legs this morning. The entire day, I could not walk comfortably or in a straight line at least once. I'm not giving in to any weaknesses nor am I whining - I'm just saying. Anyways, I've continued my streak of waking up any time around noon and had breakfast. At first, I was offered a "Filipino Breakfast" which included some gulay with chicken. I had a little, since my Lola made it and I didn't want to be too disrespectful, but I eventually had a bowl of Smacks. As the day goes on, I went with the sister and her boyfriend, driving around. We went to Urban Outfitters and I, as excited as I was for the sale, left empty handed. Unfortunately, I was only working with 30 bucks and my main goal was to get a nice pair of sandals. I wanted to visit Roland today at work, but we never got to. It's the first day of summer and I didn't do much. Tomorrow calls for a party, so here we go. Photo is of what I've looked like for the past two days: lying on the bed on my sister's computer.

Stressing, But Everything Will Be Okay

I could've cut school today, but I think I liked my decision to stay. I haven't seen the guy I love for days and it was very relieving to feel those soft lips again. The day itself actually wasn't too bad. The fact that everyone cut for Senior Cut Day made all my classes empty, as if it were a half day! I can't deny the amount of stress I felt today though. Even though it is the end of the year, I feel like the work keeps piling on to get ready for the "big finish". Unfortunately, part of the reason why I had to stay today was because I was thrown the responsibility of making sure that the guard knew the 3rd number for tomorrow. That responsibility sat on top of all of these Finals Reviews that I have to get started on! After school, I got some food with the love and honestly, just being with him calmed me down a lot. Practice at 4 didn't go bad at all, considering that I got the DVD from All-States from Jeffrey to use as reference. Smart, right?! lol. I came home and hopped in the shower. It was much needed after a day feeling the gross humidity! Fresh out of the shower, clothed and all, I get a phonecall from Jae saying they have a surprise for me. They stopped by and I came down. As I'm walking towards the car, Alo, Joriz and Jae bust out with water balloons in their hands and start throwing!! What the haaiill, man! Right after my nice shower too!! I guess it's a new kind of love from friends. haha. Photo is of my SAT Prep assignment. It asked me to put a name and so I was referred to as "Nigg" for a good 10 slides.

We'll Be In The Green Soon

I'm not going to let little arguments ruin us. I'm not. The weather was really nice today, but a bit hotter than I favor. Today made me realize that we are heading towards the end of this year so quickly, it's kind of too fast. Finals are in about a week and I haven't even started my final exam reviews. I have a leadership seminar to attend and I am just screwed. I will tell myself over and over that I can do this and I can. I've dealt with the end of the year for a good 9 years so why should I stop now? Ahh "The trick is to keep on breathing" because I know that once summer rolls around and we are in the safe green-zone, everything will be good and running smooth. Photo is of the walk home. Every time I turn onto Newark Ave. by Claara Mass, I can't help but admire the way the shadows of the trees pattern and trail down the sidewalk. It so beautiful in person. It reminds me of those perfect summer days. :)

I Can Do This I Can Do This

Dang! 300th post! I'm seriously getting there! Anyways, onto today. It was good. Nothing is better than starting the week with basically a half-day, considering the delayed-opening for testing. The days tends to go a lot better like this. After today, I can finally breathe a little better. Colorguard auditions were today. I won't say I bust my ass trying to put my piece together, because I really didn't. I was the only one trying out for Captain, but it is still good to give off a nice first impression. All went well for the most part. I got my taste of the summer heat and sweat. I spent my time with you wisely and didn't complain when it was over. I'll take what I can get because everything is much easier without complaining. I'm learning. I say that I can breathe a little better only because it is one less weight off my chest. There is so much more left at the end of the year, so I just hope to get through it all. Photo is of funky hair. lol

Impatience

My impatience is at its absolute maximum tonight. I am on the brink of insanity, trying to wait for tomorrow afternoon to come! Not much can highlight my day other than it being the first day of Jazz Band. I'm still getting used to certain environments, still being around certain people. Honestly, my worries have settled done and its not so much on my mind anymore. I'm growing madly in love with you more and more each day to care about other people getting in the way. I'm so glad you can read my mind and eyes..even when its not for the best reasons. You know something is wrong and as much as I would ever want to hide it, there's no point. You will eventually catch on and figure it out. I love when you can tell how happy I am, too because sometimes I am beyond words; the only thing that can convey to you how I feel are my eyes. :)

Oh and look, Jacob #2 likes to sleep in class! hahaha

Pain In The Buttocks

Summer reading was what everyone was working on today. I'm actually glad I started last week because I ended tonight on a good time. There was no uneccessary rushing or cramming that would ruin my project. I even started earlier this morning, taking various breaks throughout the day. It was such a pain in the butt painting the entire written part on! Letters would turn out too big, letters would smudge together; it was stressful. Things came together though, as I write this, finished with summer reading. :)

Crap, now I have to wake up early tmrw too >.> fml.

Cirque Cirque Summer

So I actually got started on my summer reading today, deciding to stay home. I got invited to go to about three places today, but I stayed put. My father kind of scolded me the night before for always being out of the house after practice had already ended. I've actually thought about what he said, and he is sort of right. I'm planning to go to a friend's house on Monday for a "last day before school party" so I can't spoil anything right now.

I have decided to recreate the back and front covers of the book I'm reading. At first I wanted to do a portrait of the protagonist with descriptive quotes framing his or her face; but I had already read five book and didn't bother to write them down as I went. I'm far too lazy to be looking back into my book for those quotes. :D Reading Cirque all summer has played towards my advantage, seeing that I'm actually willing to read it. I'm on book 5 now and still going strong! A few nights ago, I made some rough sketches of what I wanted to paint, and here's the front cover so far! I am very proud of how it came out..I just hope the teacher has decent lighting to see the color contrasts! Its a dark painting after all. And now all that is left is the back cover..where I also have to write a blurb an a bunch of stuff..bummer.
